Inside a Month of America’s School Shootings is a visual editorial piece inspired by The Economist’s stark, data-driven coverage of gun violence in schools. It draws attention to the shocking regularity and normalization of shootings on or near school grounds across the United States, capturing the emotional weight of an ongoing national crisis.
It highlights the month of February 2023, when over 20 incidents of school-related gun violence occurred, including both real shootings and a wave of hoax threats that triggered armed responses.
This project is intended to be used in awareness campaigns, public policy discussions, educational forums, and digital activism, where visual storytelling can amplify urgent social issues. Link to project here
